Noncontinuum Mechanics

Perspectives

Theoretically, NETS is interested in mass transport physics in the low-dimensional nanoscale space that is of a size commensurable with transporting molecules’ own sizes. This transport physics is generally featured with molecular and interfacial interactions which is hard to grapple with continuum mechanics approaches. To tackle the nanoscale transport physics, we take an analytical method including the kinetic theories of gas and liquid as well as molecular dynamics simulations.
